5G is the fifth-generation of cellular network technology. Each of the generations provides much broader bandwidth, lower latencies, and smaller physical footprint, etc. 5G technology provides innovations like virtualization, network slicing, [[:beam-steering|]] & [[:beam-forming|]] (with AAU), etc. [[:user-plane|User-plane]] and [[:data-plane|]] separated, latency reduces (up to 3ms) and more.
